New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Gemini

On Thursday, June 10th, 2021 (please note that the meditation is the day before on Wednesday), the New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Gemini will occur, 2 weeks after the Sagittarius Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses occur roughly every 6 months in a series of 2 or 3, each 2 weeks apart, and they are supercharged full and new moons. So what you’d typically feel with a moon will be even more intensified during this time, especially if you have significant planetary placements in Gemini.
New moons are the once in a month quiet space in the darkness of the sky. In this shadow, we can see the stars with more clarity. This transparency reveals the potentialities of cosmic energy that could be brought into physical manifestation in the new cycle.
The power of the Solar Eclipse shows the way forward. In the darkness of the New Moon, there is a sliver of light reflecting from the sun to reveal what is yet to come. It embraces new cycles, not only within each month, but for the 6 months yet to come until the next eclipse season. This forward movement is energized by the clearing of the Lunar eclipse 2 weeks ago.
The sun and moon are both within the fun-loving astrological sign of Gemini, also the sign of duality. Gemini is represented by the Twins: one mortal and the other immortal. The mortal one is connected to our earthly bodies, needs, desires and pleasures. The other twin represents the eternal part of ourselves, our souls who are on a never ending and ever evolving journey through the cosmos through the different masks we wear in each lifetime, our immortality.
The energies of Gemini include:
- Friendships, close relationships and sibling energy
- Play and fun
- The vastness of the different experiences one can have
- Communication
- The interplay of the lightness and heaviness of existence
