“If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change.” ~ the Buddha

As I’ve mentioned earlier, spring is my favorite time of the year with the earth, the trees and the grass all becoming alive with new flowers and leaves. The flowers that bloom are consistent from year to year, but they always arrive at different times of the spring depending on how harsh or mild the winter we’re emerging out of. While there was a cold snap for the entire month of February (hello Polar Vortex and mass dump of snow!), winter on the whole was relatively mild. As a result, the spring flowers feel like they are blooming earlier this year.

This week in Chicago, the flowers I’ve enjoyed are tulips, daffodils and the white flowers of fruit trees as well as the green grass and the emerging leaves of the trees.
