“For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.” ~ William Wordsworth,
from I Wandered as Lonely as a Cloud

Daffodils are one of the spring’s happy first bursts of color. They radiate shades of the yellow of the third chakra, the solar plexus, revealing the radiance and the shine of the inner self. This yellow is one of the first expressions of life in the cycle of the year, bringing refreshment after the muted brown and grey layers of winter.
