What is the Difference between Holy Fire® Reiki and Usui Reiki?
Short answer? There is no difference! Holy Fire® Reiki is Usui Reiki.
? What? ?
TLDR: Holy Fire® Reiki is an evolution of Usui Reiki.
Holy Fire® Reiki was introduced by William Lee Rand through his spiritual guides and advisors in 2014 as a more gentle and more powerful expansion of the Usui Reiki energies.
In the previous style of Usui Reiki, called Usui Tibetian Reiki (also developed by William Rand in the 1990s), there was a great deal of auric field intermingling between the teacher and student to pass on the energy in my own personal experience. What the student received was dependent on the spiritual work that the teacher had done on themselves. In addition, when the student’s aura accepted Reiki, there was a raising of the student’s vibration to match the high vibration of Reiki. With this raising of the vibration, things that no longer served the student were released into the earth by way of the teacher’s auric field.
With Holy Fire® Reiki, this minging between the teacher and student no longer happens. What the student receives during the attunements (now called placements within the Holy Fire® system) comes directly from the Source of all that is, so what the student receives is suited for them perfectly at that moment of their spiritual path.
In conclusion, with Holy Fire® Reiki, the energy is still Usui Reiki, but is part of the natural changes and evolution that all life goes through.
